I love that I have friends from all different walks of life. Last night some awesome friends of mine and I sat in Denny's until 2:30 in the morning just talking about everything. All with different perspectives and experiences with the topics.

We touched on some topics that really got me completely stoked to do the World Race. Things like abortion, human trafiicking, starvation, knowledge and Sarah Mclaughlin (jokes!). But frankly, I don't think I've been excited enough. I wake up everyday knowing that I have to do something to get closer to the goal and in doing so forget that I get to do the World Race. It isn't a chore. I get  to see what's really going on without the smokey lens of a tv or computer screen. I have been granted permission to be a physical hand to help feed the hungry, clothe the poor, comfort those in need.

I need to change my view on this support raising. Like most missionaries, from what I've seen and heard so far, I absolutely detest asking people for money. Money that I know they already don't have. It really always comes down to pride in my case but the point is I do need it. Those contributions are going to help me help others.

So to make it easier on me and easier on you I'm setting up some fundraisers/support raising opportunities that you and I both get something out of. Please keep them in your prayers. Pray for people's hearts to be softened and willing to be a part of what God is doing through W squad.

April 16th: Flea market. I will be selling practical items while informing peolpe about what the W squad will be doing. Brochures, slide show, donation box. Please pray for hearts to be willing to donate.

April 23rd: Coffee Workshop $3 at the door. Games, Prizes, Coffee Tastings and more! Please pray for volunteers.

June 5th: BBQ! Nuff said! Yummy food, awesome weather (claim it in Jesus' name!), fun of epic-sized proportions! Please pray that the weather will be great and people's willingness to reserve tickets would be even greater!

June 18th: Garage sale. Gimme your junk! You don't want it? Then donate it to a good cause! If it doesn't get sold then it gets given to someone who needs it (goodwill, salvation army, realoptions, etc…)

All of money raised at these events go straight into my support account but if you can't provide money that's just fine. Volunteering, supplies and especially prayers are always needed.
