Well, it has been right at about a week since I was at training camp. There has been a lot of processing and what not during this week. Thinking about the connections I built, the many, many words our sweet Father spoke over me, the accomplishments I made and what I learned from them, etc. My biggest take away from it was: I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength.

Training Camp was one of the hardest thing I have ever done spiritually, physically, and mentally. There were times I wanted to quit and even times I kept asking myself, “What in the WORLD am I getting myself into? Lord, you know I can’t do this..?!” As soon as I pulled up to Training Camp I was taken out of my comfortable zone and shaken up. I had no idea what this “Man Hike” we were about to embark was going to hold for me. We woke up early that next morning and jumped on a bus to be dropped off by the Application Trail. As soon as I got off the bus was the first time I ask the question, “What in the WORLD am I getting myself into? Lord, you know I can’t do this..?!” In two days we hiked right at 20+ miles, but those last five mile were complete hell. I couldn’t carry my pack any more and started to shake and get dizzy. A few guys stayed along my side to push and help guide me. The whole time I was asking God that question and it was then when I felt Him smile upon me then say in such a sweet, loving voice…”Rick, my son, you can do ALL things through me.

Those last 2-3 miles I trucked it! I kept repeating to myself, “I can do ALL things through Christ!” That verse came alive to me!!!! The guys whom I was with kept asking, “Where did all this energy come from?” It was His strength shining through me.

There are many more examples where this Revelation shined through, but I am going to keep this blog short. The next few blogs I’ll be posting will be about my experience at Training Camp. Where God taught me to trust Him and not to lean on my own understanding, where He taught me the importance of community, and so, so much more.

Thank you for all the support and all the prayers! I love each and everyone one of you. If you had any need to contact me and ask me anything about the World Race email at: [email protected].

Be Blessed! 🙂
