These past few weeks have been tough. Recently, my sister-in-law has be diagnosed with Stage 4 tongue cancer. It is a rare cancer. So I’ve been with the family, helping out and battling with myself on whether I should stay committed to the World Race or stay home to help. But every-time I even consider staying home, I hear the Lord say, “Stay Strong Like Job.” In sense, lately, I am in Jobs shoes. Immediately after I said yes to call of God to go on this Race, it was as if the enemy said ,”I am going to convince Rick to say ‘No.’ to the Call of God.”

Lately , it seems, that satan has been throwing every punch he can throw at me, as well my whole family. My brother had a seizure and wrecked his car. His wife, my sister in law, with the cancer…along with my dad with his emphysema getting worse.

It has been such a heavy weight. But, I keep hearing the Lord reminding me in the scripture, where He sends the disciples to go out and preach the Word to different cities and Jesus goes to their home towns to tend to their families.

Matt.11:1, “And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.”

He, being Jesus, went to their their cities! I wholeheartedly believe while Jesus was in their cities, He also spent time with their families to comfort them!

So, as I step out in faith, I believe that He will do the same! So tonight, as I type this blog, I say a fresh “YES!” to the Call of God. Nothing is going to hold me back from going where the Lord is leading me to go. 🙂
