THE PRIMARY MOTIVATION FOR MISSIONS MUST BE THE WORTHINESS OF JESUS FOR THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH, AND MY LOVE FOR HIM THAT COMPELS ME!

I know it’s been a while since I have blogged… I have been busy with getting everything ready and been busy working. The Lord has put upon my heart to talk about “The Great Commission.”

“The Great Commission” is not a biblical term, but comes from the Matthew 20 commission from Jesus to preach the Gospel to all nations.

           Matthew 28:18-20

“…to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you…”

The final directives given by Jesus in this passage(along with Acts 1:8, etc) collectively make up “The Great Commission.” It is a task Jesus left us with. We cannot see missions separate from ministry, as we know it.

Hudson Taylor once said, “The Great Commission is not an option to be ignored; it is a command to be obeyed”..

Jesus did not ask us to go, He told us to go.
