More events from training camp that ought to be shared:

During the night of continuous prayer, which I spent the first hour praying for forgiveness regarding the demon story, I also spent praying for protection over our squad. I prayed that angels would be sent down and surround us.

Fast forward to the last day of training camp. The last thing we did as a squad before going home was circle up for a time of prayer. As the leaders prayed over us, I prayed my own prayer. I wanted to see the angels that I had requested. I wanted to see them standing around us, shield in hand, holding the enemy at bay. I looked out in front of me and saw nothing. I prayed and asked again, “Lord, where are the angels sent to protect us?” I looked out in front of me and saw nothing. Now, it wasn’t quite nothing; I saw a golden glowing haze, which I just took as my eyes trying to adjust to the sun which had finally come out that week. I begged once more to see the angels sent to protect us. I still saw nothing.

However, immediately after I asked the third time, I had this unusual urge to turn around. So, awkwardly, I turned my head over my shoulder, while we’re all still praying in a circle, and looked back. There, standing behind me, was Jesus himself. He decided to be there instead of all those angels. I felt him put his hand on my shoulder. I looked down at it and saw the hole through his hand. Wow. He who asks shall certainly receive, I thought to myself. This is way better than the group of angels I asked for. I looked back up and that’s when I noticed that the golden glowing mist was actually surrounding our group. He had erected a dome around us made of pure Holy energy and light; it extended several feet out behind us.

That’s when I also noticed, outside of the dome, hundreds of strange creatures that looked like monkeys wearing tribal masks running around like crazy. They were all black and instead of fur like a monkey, they’re skin looked like tree bark. The masks were their actual faces and most had razor sharp teeth which they bared whenever they charged the dome of light. When they hit the edge of the dome, they just bounced off back into the frenzied group of themselves, getting angrier and angrier every time one of them tried to break the barrier. I turned my attention back to our group’s prayer.

Thank you Lord for we are safe in your arms.
