inspired.
inspired by homesickness, yet the peace I find in Jesus.
in my eternal home found in His kingdom.
inspired by mosquito bites, yet this healthy body that He has given to me.
these beautifully marked legs that I can use for dancing.
inspired by moments where all I want to do is cry, yet the hope that I have in my Maker.
and not a human hope, but an eternal hope.
human hope is marked by uncertainty,
and even fear.
but this eternal hope that I have is a confident expectation of what is to come.
this eternal hope is a dimension of faith.
this eternal hope is clarity.
this eternal hope fights for only a fear of the Lord.
this eternal hope chooses to completely trust in the promises of God.
and I’m excited to keep getting inspired by this eternal hope.
by the One who continually pours it over me.

A solider He has called me, a soldier I shall be
To walk in valleys of need, to set these people free
To hear your voice above the noise, to celebrate the skies
To swim in clouds of reverie, reverie of the inner why
Why I live, why I love, why I am sitting here today
Why You chose, why You gave, why You came to say
“Daughter, take my hand, here’s the mercy, now take the grace.
Swim in the abundance of my faithfulness, swim and see my face.”
Your face, oh how it longs for us to fall hard into Your arms
To know that You are enough, and that in You there is no harm
Safety is a foreign thing, because living for You is like a knife
Painful to the side of my will, but in Your will there is life.
So I come to you for water, for only You diminish my thirst.
And I smile as I walk these roads, because I know that You were here first.
Forever You were, forever You are
and forever You will be.

I don’t know about you,
but I’m ready to surrender all of the plans I’ve created all these years
to keep stepping into what the Lord has written for me.
And it’s gonna be so, so good! 🙂
with all my love and joy,
Richelle.
