The past few weeks have felt like a dream. I got home from my latest adventure, Passport Africa Expeditions, on July 31st.
I have had 2 weeks at home thus far and I only have 1 week left.
1 week.
Most people still think I’m crazy for traveling for 13 months, spending 3 weeks at home, and leaving again for 3 months.
Yes, I am crazy, but a good crazy I’d like to say.
I realized how much I love traveling, but, above that, how much I love serving. I love being able to empower my team and see them walk into the potential the Lord has gifted them with. I love seeing the change love has in an atmosphere. I’ve realized my view of “the least of these” isn’t the same as the world’s view.
Many people have asked me if I’m tired or exhausted from all the travel and ministry. I won’t lie, I was.
I was tired Month 8 of my Race.
I was tired in Zambia in June.
But, it never last long.
My Africa Expedition team reminded me of why I signed up way back in October 2012 to do mission work in the first place. They did ministry with such a zest and zeal for life and God. Their faith was uninhibited and free. Everyday I saw them walk in that was another day my faith was pushed deeper. My team taught me so much and gave me energy, rest, and strength to continue with a fully renewed spirit.
And, that’s exactly what I’ll need going to Sarah’s Covenant Homes and another season of leadership.
India.
Sarah’s Covenant Homes.
All the children I love.
I’m.
So.
Excited.
But, to walk into this next season, I’m in need of support.
I’m in need of prayers. I learned the value and importance of prayer over the past year, and it can change lives! Would you pray for me and my team of 10 women? We are all currently in the process of getting our visas to get into India and a few are facing difficulties whether a misplaced passport or no communication from the visa office. Pray that we all receive our visas before training camp. Pray for safe travels, protection, and safety in India. Pray for us to love freely on the kids daily and for us to encourage the foster moms. Pray and pray and pray.
I’m also in need of $1,500 before I leave. That deadline is quickly approaching! I have 1 week before training camp! This money will go towards my international flights, housing, food, and land transportation for 3 months. AIM is such a good steward of the money we raise and they make it as cheap as possible.
In addition to the $1,500, I’m looking to raise $300 for my personal flights to Atlanta for training camp and back home at the end of November. All the flights I’ve taken in the past few months have added up.
Would you prayerfully consider supporting me? I’m only the vessel going, but you are the engine supporting that vessel.
