My team went to an elephant sanctuary. At sanctuaries, you don’t ride the elephants. It’s becoming more common that people do not want to ride the elephants, which is better for them also. There were five elephants for us to interact with. A three month old baby named Mr. King–he was like 400-500 pounds of muscle so while he’s a cutie, he’s very powerful. There was a teenage boy elephant, I think five years old. I saw a Thai man working with him, teaching him to be hand fed. There was a pregnant momma elephant, and another female elephant, and a big male elephant. I don’t remember the details of those as much. First we went to an area where we can feed and interact with the elephants, then we played in the mud with a couple elephants and then bathed them and then bathed ourselves in the waterfalls. It was a lovely time.

^^^This guy is so heavy, and he’s actually quite pushy. I was scared! ^^^

^I was trying to take a pic with him in the background, and he started running at me!^
