Let me tell you a little bit about World Race Training Camp:
- Port-a-potties
- Bucket showers (literally just a bucket of cold hosewater and a cup)
- Community meals, with no plates or utensils
- Early mornings with workouts and worship
- The sound of 100 zippers
- Field Scenarios that got me thinking/acting as though we had already left for the race.
- Awesome training and breakout sessions that changed my heart and mind!
- Exercises that bring bonding to your team and squad.
- Challenges that teach you about yourself and others.
Some of my favorite moments of training camp:
When we had to get dinner at the “international market” with our team. It was incredibly realistic with theives, police, locals, tourists, homeless people, language barriers, having to convert money, traffic, loudness—the reality of danger was acknowledged!
Building a shelter in the woods with only a few tarps, rope, and zipties; then sleeping it in with the whole squad–minus the hammock sleepers.
Sharing glasses to watch the solar eclipse! 98% coverage!
MY TEAM (Agua Viva) : Amanda, me, Wendy, Jaivie, Carolyn, Grace, & Cristina
Excited to grow closer to these ladies, to learn from them, and to grow with them as we do life together sharing the gospel and watching God move mountains!
