For awhile, I was uncertain if the World Race was something for me. But God has done nothing but affirm I am where I need to be. God has blessed me with this opportunity. And I am so excited to see what God has in store for the next year.

Ten days. That’s how long my training camp was in Gainesville, GA. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. And I came away with too many stories to tell. But if there was one thing I came away with, it’s that relationships are the most important part of our mission. And without God’s help I wouldn’t have any idea what that looks like.

I always thought God and I had a pretty good relationship. Until recently. I realized there are a few things I didn’t accept about God. And a few things I didn’t trust. And I wasn’t that great at communicating with him.

Good news, I am working on my relationship with him. And He is waiting, arms wide open, for me to enter into his warm embrace. I understand now, that I have been chosen by God and adopted as His child. I have been redeemed and forgiven of ALL my sins. And this also means I have direct access to the throne of his grace through Jesus Christ. I AM A CHILD OF GOD.

God has taught me so much in the past 10 days, and it excites me! What I know now about God has shown me how important other relationships are. And I was thrown into 43 new relationships at training camp.

I’m talking about my Squad. E Squad, the 43 family members that will be traveling with me to 11 different countries to show others what it means to be a Child of God. I can’t describe how awesome these people are. But hopefully in the next year, you will see just what they are made of.

When I first got to training camp, I was a little overwhelmed with everybody. I wasn’t sure how to even start meeting these people and getting to know them. But God said to just start making a relationship with them. Accept who they are. Spend time with them and know they are accepting you.

And now I can honestly say these 43 people are my family. 10 days wasn’t enough to know everything about them but it was enough to start an honest relationships. God is good, and I can’t praise him enough for bringing these amazing friends into my life.

Until next time!
