Sincere apologies for not updating my blog in a while but I just wanted to update y’all on some really exciting things that are happening in my life!
First off, I wanted to start by giving a HUGE thank you to all my supporters! Because of all of you, I am nearly fully funded. I could not have done it without all of you and your incredible “yes” to helping make this crazy adventure possible. At the beginning of this journey, $12,500 seemed like a near impossible goal and I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen. But I have learned more than anything, that God truly does provide and he works through people like all of you to help make awesome chances like these to spread his kingdom, happen. So THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Secondly, tomorrow morning at 8am I will be on a plane headed to Georgia for training camp where I will finally, after many months of anticipation, meet all the people I will be traveling with this upcoming year. I am SO ready to finally meet all the faces I have only come to know through a screen. I am not entirely sure what all training camp will entail but I am actually very excited for that. It is going to be a little taste of what next year will be like, not really knowing what is coming but being ready for whatever is next. I am ready to be taken out of my comfort zone and put into a new place with new people and new things to learn. I am ready to abandon all my notions that I have control because we all know that God is the one who is always in control of our lives whether we want to accept it or not. I am ready to be open to what God has for me and the rest of my squad. I am not too sure all that will happen the next 10 days but I know God has some big things planned! So I graciously ask for your continual prayers for my squad, that we can start this great journey together all striving towards a deeper relationship with the Lord. Prayers for my team of 8 whom I will be doing ministry with my first 3 months of this journey, which I will find out at training camp. Prayers for the safe arrival of everyone attending training camp this week. Lastly, prayers for open hearts and open minds this week as we learn more about each other and about how awesome the God we serve is. Thank you so much for all of your love and support! I am so very thankful.
