Oh, how the Lord always knows exactly what we need and when we need it. This past week I got to spend a week at Jomtien beach in the city of Pattaya hanging out with my whole squad. It was such a good week filled with good conversations and even better company. All week, stories were shared of how God has been working in each of us and through our teams these past two months and He has been doing some awesome things.
Debrief was for sure a week to remember. My heart is so full after getting to spend time with so many people on my squad that I have missed so dearly these past couple months. So many good talks were had, friendships were made stronger, and God was glorified in sharing all the stories he has let us be apart of thus far on the race. We all stayed up way too late and ate way too much American food in attempt to make up for the past two months without it. We did crazy, unforgettable things like jet ski in the ocean and get our feet nibbled on by fish. Not so sure how I feel about the whole fish thing still, but hey it was only two bucks. To say the least it was a great week of being reunited with sweet friends, making memories, and just realizing how much the Father has done through us in this time we have been in Thailand.
Not only was seeing everyone again good for my soul, but so was just being completely refreshed in my faith. We had five nights of worship and sessions as an entire squad and God just really used that time to speak life into us and to overwhelm us with the unconditional love he has for each of us. He used this time to fill us all back up again after pouring so much out these past two months. I don’t think I realized how much I needed this week until I got there. My soul is so alive and well right now. God shed some light on some changes I needed to make going into this last bit of time in Thailand before we head to Cambodia. He showed me how I desperately need to intentionally take time out to be with Him each day. He showed me ways I can love my team and the people around me better. He gave me an overwhelming sense of peace about going into Cambodia and began preparing my heart for some radical growth He has for me there. He showered me with His love in the form of his beloved children He has given to me as brothers and sisters on this crazy journey called life. God is just good y’all. He always is, but there are just times like now for instance, where I can’t help but feel totally in awe of Him and the love He has for me. my heart is so full.
So praise the Lord for some much needed time with Him and with my squad. I’m feeling refreshed and ready to go for Cambodia. I can’t wait to see all the awesome things He has for us there. My heart is ready. Here’s to the last 8 days in Thailand! Prayers that my squad and I just continue to pour out all that we have to the people of Thailand and just soak up our last little bit of time in this beautiful land of smiles.
