In NASCAR there are many things that cause upsets in the race. Crashes are by far the most popular way to achieve this, but there are also green flags, yellow flags and lead changes that control the momentum of a race. Lets talk about lead changes.
“Like the horizons for breadth and the oceans for depth, the understanding of a good leader is broad and deep.” Prov. 25:3
The race driver that holds the lead during a race holds much more than first place. He holds a position of responsibility, a role of direction, and most importantly a speed that every other car must try to keep up with. What would happen if the lead car suddenly slammed on his brakes? A wreck, of course. Cars would pill up and spin out and the track would be littered with aftermath.

What would happen if you slammed on the brakes in your life? Who would you cause to wreck? As racers we have to be aware of those who follow and what kind of legacy we are leaving behind for them. Being one of the oldest girls in my family I understand that what I choose to do affects my younger sisters. As they watch what decisions I make and how I choose to live my life I know that they are in turn making their own decisions.
Do you need to make a lead change in your life?
I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Phil 3:14
