Well we finished another month on the World Race. We left Rackoko Uganda on Monday and spent a few days together as a squad in Jinja. Now we are back in Kenya for our squad debrief before leaving for Tanzania. Time is flying by for sure.
My beauty workshops went very well last week. I felt that I could connect with the younger girls (ages 15-22). I spoke to them about their beauty and purity. They understood it and I could share my journey with them too. I have felt that God is speaking to me in that area and even in Rackoko. There is so much need there for the women and so much potential. God has put some good stuff on my heart for that place.
This month has been a time of trying to plug into what God is telling me and showing me. I have had a hard time with listening to God as I realized through out the race I have become consumed with internet. This weekend alone I have realized that God is teaching me about my identity in Christ. He is showing me who I am in him and my identity isn’t from the world. I have realized alot of character traits that doesn’t make up who I am.
Some of the traits that are not from Christ:
Selfishness
Bitterness
Envy
Jealousy
Bad attitude and snappy with others
Impatience
Traits that make my identity in Christ
Beautiful
Loving
Caring
The daughter of a king
Christ’s bride
These are just a few of course
God wants to heal me, use me and show me his heart in this process. It may be messy and hard but I am ready. Someone reminded me that in order for me to figure out my future I need to know my true identity in Christ first. So with that being said I am doing an internet fast this coming month. Starting August 30th I will not be online for the 3 weeks in Tanzania. This is very hard for me but yet I know that God will work in me and through me..
Thank you for all your ongoing prayers and love. I have felt the support from everyone and it is appreciated. My journey is not yet over and I am excited to see what God is going to do yet. I will post some blogs after my fast about our month in Tanzania. Please pray for travelling mercies on Tuesday as we have a long drive to Tanzania.
