We are asked to write a bit about how we feel we are called to the mission field. I have grown up in high school going on week long mission trips. I have been to various places in the USA and went on one in Zambia for 10 days. After high school I went on these trips as a group leader. I have always loved helping others and working with those less fortunate. I will never forget going to Zambia and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces. They were so happy and thankful and yet they have nothing compared to us. We have so much and yet we are so ungrateful for what we do have. In the past few months I have felt that God is calling me to something bigger and better. I have been restless and wanting to do something more with my life. I prayed about it and completely surrendered my life to God. I said to God “whatever you want me to do I will do” Well He led me to the World Race and as scary as it seems, I am ready to completely give that year to Him. I have helped people less fortunate in my own city and find it so rewarding. It makes me more thankful for what I do have. I am ready to be uncomfortable and live completely for God. I feel that God is calling me to a life of missions. I will see where this road leads me.
