The Race is a life of constant transition. Every month you're in a new country. Which means new cultural nuances. New ministry work. New ministry contacts. A new bed, or lack there-of. New food. And sometimes, new people to live in community with when new teams are paired up.

Somewhere in the last three months, transition became the norm.

But for B-Squad, the month of January is taking "transition" to a whole new level.

It's not only a new month…

It's a new year.

And a new continent. [Asia]

An entirely new culture, not just shifiting nuances.

New language.

And…

New leadership for our squad.

And new teams!

That's right. We always knew this big transition would come. Mike and Stacey, our current squad leaders are race alumni and they only stay through month four. Their leadership has been invaluable to our squad and has brought us to a deep place quickly. But now three of our own are being raised up to lead us to new and even deeper places. Meet our new squad leaders!

Thomas Wensil, Ryan Banko, and Kayla Spencer are legit.

With these three former team leaders being raised up, it meant even more leadership transitions with raising up some new team leaders. And it also served as a time for building new teams. Team that will challenge us. Teams that will build us up. Teams that will grow us even more and lead us into the promises that God has for our squad.

In the middle of all this craziness and change I find my heart at peace. I have a spirit of readiness. Anticipation. Excitement. I know this is exactly the right thing for me, my new team, and our squad. I really haven't been in a better place personally on the race than I am now. Instead of feeling lost in the middle of this transition, it's like new parts of me are being found in it.

I'm so happy to introduce my new team…

Team Somewhere Beautiful
[Because no matter where in the world we are, and no matter where we are in our hearts, we know it's where God has us… and that makes it somewhere beautiful]

Dave Gardner
The only teammate remaining from my former team. A dear friend, fellow Gator, lover of souls.

Rachel Anderson
Strong, bold, witty and beautiful. So excited to have fun with this girl!

Mickey Wingrove
Laid back man of God who I feel incredibly at ease around.

Nate Herndon
A kind, considerate and so fun to be around, with a love of the south that makes me feel at home.

Taralah Neff
Creative, and faithful with the loudest and most joyous laugh I've ever heard!

Courney Burke
The first racer I ever met – she lives in the Indy area as well! A kind-hearted servant with a firey streak!

Here's to change. Transition. And the goodness that's found in it!
