The Adventures Fellows are going to Lesvos, Greece to help at a refugee transit point!
The staff here at Adventures in Missions has been keeping a close watch on the refugee crisis. Adventures has been very active in the relief efforts in Lesvos by rerouting World Race squads to serve at refugee relief checkpoints in Greece. To spearhead World Race alumni participation, the Adventures Fellows will be serving at a refugee relief tent to bless refugees as they arrive from Turkey. We will also spend time uplifting and encouraging the volunteers, who have been working 12 hours a day and 6 days a week for a couple of months now.
When are we going?
The Fellows will be flying to Lesvos on January 17, 2016 and will be returning to the U.S on January 31, 2016.
How much will it cost?
The trip will cost $17,800 total for all 12 participants. All of the Fellows support raise to participate in the Fellowship program. This service trip to Lesvos is an added cost. None of the money raised toward this trip will go to anyone’s individual support account.
How can you help?
Please support our efforts to serve the refugees in Lesvos as part of your giving during this Christmas season. You can donate through our funding page at http://give.adventures.org/campaign.asp?campaignID=1072. It may not seem like $25, $50, or more can really have in impact in global issues such as this refugee crisis, but your money directly impacts the care of our fellow human beings.
When is the deadline to give?
The full cost of the trip needs to be raised no later than December 23, 2015.
Thank you for supporting the Adventures Fellows this year through your donation and prayers. We urgently invite you to partner will us this season to serve the refugees who are making the dangerous journey to a new life. With your help we can be part of God’s plan for healing and redemption in the lives of thousands of refugees!
Thank y’all for all of your support of me, the other Fellows, and the volunteers that we will be coming alongside in Greece.
