Ya’ll the Holy Spirit is so present with me in this kitchen this morning. 11 is a number I’ve hated for so long. It marks so much pain in my life and the lives of those I love. As I was re-reading a birthday card from my step dad, I was reminded of the number 11, but this time, it had a different meaning. “11 years ago you came to us”. Eleven years ago, on my eleventh birthday, I came to them. I dedicated my life to the Lord at age eleven. And now, eleven years later, I’m leaving for an eleven country, eleven month mission trip…IN ELEVEN DAYS. Whoa. God is so crazy rad.

I immediately grabbed my bible to check Psalm 11, but instead the Holy Spirit came over me and perfectly opened to Psalm 21 and directed my eyes and mind to it. AND IT’S SO PERFECT.

Psalm 21:1-6

The king rejoices in your strength

            How great is his joy in the victories you give!

You have granted him his heart’s desire

            And have not withheld the request of his lips.

You came to greet him with rich blessings

            And placed a crown of pure gold on his head.

He asked you for life, and you gave it to him-

            Length for days, for ever and ever.

Through the victories you gave, his glory is great;

            You have bestowed on him splendor and majesty

Surely you have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence.

FREAK YEAH. Oh and by the way, I wrote this at 11am. All in his timing ya’ll.
