In preparation for launch, I have decided that as I do my research on the countries I will be traveling to, I want you all to learn about them too! I am going to do them by region to make it easier for y’all.
So, first up is Eastern Europe! While in Eastern Europe, I will be going to Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria.
So, next up is Bulgaria!

- 42,855 sq mi (Texas is approximately 6 times as big as Bulgaria)

- A common characteristic of strong family orientated societies is that they tend to also have hierarchical structures with corresponding rules of behaviors that enforce people’s roles.
- In Bulgaria, respect and honor are given to people with age and position.
- In normal social situations, this is manifest where the oldest in the group is greeted first, accorded a title, served first or offered the best food at the table.
What I am going to do there?
- I will be doing what the World Race calls, ATL, Ask The Lord. This means our entire month will be all about asking God what He has in store. My team will not have a set ministry host or ministry, so please pray that God guides us to people that are wanting to hear the Gospel.
Climate
- The average annual temperature is 51 °F, but this conceals a wide variation; temperatures as low as −37 °F and as high as 113 °F have been recorded.
- Mean annual precipitation ranges from about 18 inches in the northeast to more than 47 inches in the highest mountains.
- The lowlands receive snowfall from mid-October to mid-May, with an annual average of 25–30 days of snow cover.
- Hailstorms occur between May and August.

- Bulgaria comes third in the list of countries with most valuable archaeological sites discovered on their territories, preceded only by Greece and Italy.
- Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, was founded 7000 years ago. This makes it the second oldest city in Europe.
