I asked my Instagram followers what questions they had for me about World Race Gap Year, so I am slowly going to start answering them! If you have a question that you want me to answer, dm me, email me, text me, or send a carrier pigeon and I’ll answer it!
Question 3:
What am I most excited for?
This is a fun question to answer! I thought about it for quite a while, and there are so many things that I am excited for. So, here is a list of things that I am most excited for…
- Getting to go to Foley, Alabama to work with Samaritan’s Purse
- All the fun snacks and meals that I get to eat
- Watching Gap E do ministry at the North Georgia Zoo
- Spending time talking about the New Testament every Monday night with my teams (thanks Bible Project!)
- Experiencing the squad grow in giving healthy feedback
- Walking through the really hard days
- Gleaning from all of the sessions we are getting to be apart of
- Friday Movie Nights
- Watching the Racers step into their Spiritual Gifts
- Experiencing Squad Church every Sunday
- Watching the Racers give each other fun haircuts
- Seeing how many times Sierra can wear cheetah print in one week
- Watching the Racers build random structures all over campus
- Counting who wears the exact same outfit the most days in a row
- Watching hearts be healed by the Holy Spirit
- Seeing how many times it rains on laundry day
- Experiencing personal breakthrough and watching the Racers go through it as well
- Seeing the Racers’ passions come alive
- Seeing how cold it can get while the majority of the squad still wears open-toed shoes
- How many times I can lose my coffee mug before I finish drinking my coffee (I’m currently looking for it right now….and yes it does still have coffee in it!)
- Counting how many times a Hydroflask drops in the middle of a serious session
- Listening to the Squad talk in a weird Russian accent
- Reading all of the Racers’ blogs
- LEAVING THE COUNTRY IN JANUARY!!
Yep, you read that right! In January, we will be launching overseas to one of the Adventures in Missions bases! That’s about all of the information we have, but God has answered a lot of people’s prayers. I am most excited to get to spend time internationally with Gap E and watching them be the hands and feet of Jesus after three months of missional training.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20
