Hey guys!
I will be going on Route 2 August 2018 of the 11 month, 11 country World Race mission trip. So let me introduce myself. My name is Reed Morrison. I am 22 years old, soon to be 23. I’m from small town Baldwyn, Ms. This is the time where most people talk about what college they graduated from with whatever degree. I would tell you about how wonderful my family is and that my life is so grand. But honestly, sometimes we forget that some Christians lives are just plain messy. After I graduated high school I was kicked out of my house and was homeless. I slept on a friend’s couch for the entire summer before college. I went and played one year of baseball at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Ms. (think Second Chance U on Netflix). During that time I tore my labrum which ended my baseball career and forced me back to Baldwyn, Ms to sleep on my friends couch. In the next 3 years, I got a job at a bank, I bought my first car, got my own place and finally slept on my own bed. But I was never happy. I was drowning in sin, so full of myself and thinking I could do no wrong. But in reality I could do no right. Truth was I made a really crummy king of my own life. So after making bad choices and bouncing from job to job, city to city, I found fulfillment. I found a church who showed me what a relationship with Jesus was. I accepted Jesus into my heart June 30, 2017. Since then I’ve been pulled into a more intimate relationship with Jesus and that has led here, to the World Race. I’m not sure what the future holds or what will happen during this journey but I hope you guys will pray with me, follow me, and give encouragement during this time.
God bless!
