what up everyone,
earlier this year i reached out to tell you about a mission trip i’m planning to do called the World Race Gap Year. with everything that’s happened in the world this year, i’m sure you’re wondering if i’ll still be able to go, so i wanted to give you an update.
i am still going to join the World Race Gap Year, but there have been a few changes to the plans.
first, in a few days i’ll be heading to Gainesville, Georgia, to the headquarters of the Adventures in Missions. i’ll be spending this fall studying the Bible, missions, and leadership. i’ll be living in a Christian community with other Racers, and we’ll be growing together towards Christ. Adventures in Missions has made a plan for us to be trained while still following all the necessary social distancing practices.
following that, in January the plan is still for me to leave internationally to share the love of Christ with the people i meet, everywhere i go. i’m really excited about this new plan, because i know I’ll be better equipped to share my faith because of the training I will receive.
God has been so good to me and has blessed me so graciously in the way of funds. right now i am only a few hundred dollars away from being fully funded and am so thankful for the generosity of my brothers and sisters in Christ. however, i ask you to continue praying for me, my team, and my squad. pray that we would do all things without grumbling, shine the light of Christ, hold fast to the word of life, and be glad and rejoice.
God is doing incredible things in my life and around me. to keep up with this journey feel free to follow my blog and to follow me on instagram at nreedbarrett. thank you all for your prayers and support.
stay stoked,
Reed Barrett
