Hi, happy Thursday! I have an exciting update this week. Training camp is over, and the teams are headed out on their own! The other squad leader (Kate), the squad mentor (Kylee), and I have traveled to Vietnam for a couple of weeks to complete our squad leader training, leaving the four teams in Cambodia to figure out their own team dynamics and find their own ministry. They also will be responsible for using their travel budget to get themselves to Thailand. Yikes! They can handle it, though. We will meet back up with them in Bangkok for a debrief, then Kate and I will join a team and hang with them for a while, switching teams from time to time. I don’t know now which team(s) or for how long; it’s a pretty “unscripted” thing.
We have four teams; one team of all girls, one of all guys, and two coed teams. There are a total of 18 people on the squad. I couldn’t be more excited aabout this journey and for each person involved. This is going to be incredible! It’s going to be so difficult in so many ways but still so awesome!
The teams are already learning a lot about hearing God’s voice in their day-to-day. I can’t wait to see them again and get the scoop on all of their encounters! If you want to know more, be sure to check out their blogs and subscribe! Here’s a link if you’d like to do that: https://www.worldrace.org/?tab=blogs&subtab=blogsearch&squad=19W01UN
That’s all for now. I have much to say, but not enough time today. I’ll write again soon and keep you updated more on my own journey. Until then, thank you all for your prayers and support. I can’t say that enough. Also, if you’re interested in supporting me, please donate! I need about $3,000 more to reach my fundraising goal. I appreciate your love! I am praying for peace and strength for you today as you walk with God in your own journey with Him. In Jesus’ awesome name! Let it be so (amen).
