A year ago, I would have never imagined my life to be where it is right now. Last year I was finishing up my junior year of high school, and at that point, I was looking into doing gap year missions through the world race. putting off college for a year to follow God’s calling sounded a little iffy and questionable to my parents and family, but I was certain that this was what God was truly calling me to do.
Today, I am stressed. Fundraising is a difficult and huge task. For some, it’s been easier, and for others, well…it hasn’t. There are those really awesome days when you receive a donation from someone, and everything is great. Some days you struggle to even raise a dollar. It really just depends. Yes, I know, $15,000 is a lot of money to raise, but when you really look at the faithfulness of our Lord, anything is possible. Recently, I’ve been doubting God and his abilities, but over and over again, he moves mountains!
Let me just tell you this. When you donate to my fund, you are sending someone, you are sending me. You are sharing the love of Christ. You are being called to a mission as well, without leaving your comfort zone. You are loving on children. You are spreading salvation. You are giving hope. You are making a donation to further the kingdom of Christ! Your donation is so incredibly important to me, and to the lives that my team and I will be touching, and people we will be loving on. Yes, you’re donation can do all of those things. Whether it’s $1 or $100 anything and everything helps. What I ask is that if you do donate, that it is with grace and love, and out of the kindness of your heart. I want you to be called to give; giving is your mission, just as going on the world race is mine.
Help me reach my first deadline of $5,000 by June 16th, and eventually reach $15,000 !!! God bless you.
