The opportunities this month are endless. Here is a general breakdown of the month:

The squad is split into 3 teams again this month. The pairings are: 1) Team Team Valor and Team 7 Watchers, 2) Team Wildflowers and Team Querencia, & 3) Team River Dancers and my team (Team Anchor Depths). Team 7 Dwarves (#1) is in a nearby community where they are basically doing a demographic study of the area and are planting a church! Part of their work includes building a nepa hut that will serve as the church building. Team Wild Things (#2) is at a college that has about 6,000 students. They are going to classes and building relationships with the students. The ages range from pre-k to college. On the 17, 20, and 21, we will be doing a 3 day event. The seventeenth will be preschool, the twentieth will be high school, and the twenty-first will be college. Team Ankle Biters (#3) has been going to different elementary schools, high schools, and colleges. We go into classrooms for 15 – 30 min, share who we are, maybe sing some songs or answer some questions, and then share the Gospel. Also, on the 22nd of this month we will be going a American – Filipino Cultural Presentation that we are inviting the entire city to. We have already been on the radio and are scheduled for a tv appearance on the 19th!

The Philippines is a very busy month but so far it’s been amazing. I grew up hearing stories of this place so to actually be here is special to me. I remember stories that my brothers brought back from their visits. It feels as though I’ve stepped into family. The welcoming hearts of the people has a big influence in that.

We have the opportunity to reach approximately 15,000 people this month, the majority being children. Join with us in praying for God to move in big ways in the classrooms we enter and the programs we do. We are putting a lot into the preparation but when all is said and done, it doesn’t matter how well we perform or deliver our messages. We want hearts to be touched, drug addictions to cease, hope to be restored. Pray that our hearts would continually be focused on them. After all, it’s not about us.
