Hello friends and family!

I made it to Nicaragua. I named my blog “Welcome” because that’s how I feel at my ministry site. My team is staying at REAP, which is a farm where the local population can come play sports, enjoy worship, and learn through study of the Bible. They are helping to form micro churches in the neighboring communities and host tournaments. Everything done at REAP is done to further HIS kingdom. While here we have had the opportunity to join with so many other believers in what they have already started. They have so many repeat groups of volunteers because they show the father’s love to everyone that enters the gates. I love it here! God is so amazing. On Monday morning Eva and I woke up at 5 am for corporate prayer. We grabbed a cup of coffee as we found a wooden chair and sat down to have a conversation with God. We watching the sun rise as we faced a volcano. I wrote in my journal. It’s been awhile since I’ve written down my chats with God. A quality relationship with God is one of the main focuses for World Racers that volunteer at REAP. We are doing a book study of “Spiritual Slavery to Spiritual Sonship” by Jack Frost. I’m only 3 chapters in but I definitely recommend this book for anyone feeling stagnant in their relationship with Christ. Every chapter will make you say, that’s me!” While here at REAP my team has done a variety of services. We have filled cracks in the soccer field with dirt so that the players do not trip. I have danced across the same field with little ninas listening to and singing Frozen. Them in Spanish and me in English. The children have been teaching me Spanish and I’ve been teaching them English. We have a connection because we both seek help with our weakness. I am really enjoying learning Spanish and every day I am coming out of my shell. We have also been going on prayer walks and praying for people in the hospital, their homes, and their yards. We have been asked to pray for them and ask questions that are translated into Spanish. I want to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support! I love you!

Dear Lord, thank you for giving me good health this last week and I pray that you continue to grow and stretch me and my team in our spiritual journeys.
