Operation Christmas Child is the ministry through
Samaritan’s Purse where you pack Christmas presents in shoeboxes for children
around the world who may be in need. My church at home has been a part of this
for years. Every year we wrap up
tons of shoe boxes full of goodies and then mail them off to be sent around the
world. Well this year my team had
the amazing opportunity to be on the side of the world that was actually giving
out of the boxes.

Getting a box together for Operation Christmas Child is such
an easy and small thing to do but makes a huge different in a child’s life.  In the past I have always packed the
boxes and knew that some child around the world was going to receive it but
this brought a whole new sense of reality and truth to what you are actually
being a part of.   It is such
a wonderful opportunity to share God’s love, to bring hope and life into a
child around the world

The children’s faces truly lit up when they got to open up
their boxes and see what was inside. A lot of these children don’t have very much at all and were ecstatic to
get their gifts. It was a truly
precious and beautiful moment to get to witness. It was a real blessing to get to be a part of this. It was also an opportunity to talk about
God’s love, get involved with the communities, and even talk about things such
as hygiene.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this and I
want to continue to be a part of Operation Christmas Child in the future.
