Identity in Christ
This past week Jory gave each of us the assignment of
studying, meditating, and really praying about what our Identity in Christ
is. Each night during feedback,
one of us has shared about ourselves and what we feel God has told us our identity
in Christ is. It has been a great
exercise. Not only to remind
yourself of all the things that God says you are and reminding yourself to walk
in that every single day. It
has also been such a great bonding time for our team because you see a little
bit more of each person’s personality, testimony, and heart. I have thoroughly enjoyed this
week. Our identity in Christ for
me is something that is an ongoing process of learning. God is continuing to teach me new
things everyday…more and more about myself, about him, and who I am because he
lives in me. This will be a
continuing list throughout this next year and throughout my lifetime.
I will share with you some of the things that have been
shared this past week. These are
all a combination of different things that the Lord really placed on my
teammates hearts and mine. My
teammate Tim made out an incredible list and I have added some other things in
from each of us.
I am a
light in this word

Holy Spirit led and Holy Spirit filled
I am a
vessel used to pour out Gods love
I am a
voice
I live
by faith and NOT by sight
I am a
giant slayer, not by my strength but Gods

with undeniable, unbelievable faith
I WILL

Acceptance with Joy

complete and total Freedom in Christ

God’s son

am joint heir with Christ sharing His inheritance with Him”

temple, a dwelling place of God

His beloved

chosen of God holy and dearly loved
I am a
holy partaker of a heavenly calling
I am a
member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s
own possession
I am a
alien a stranger to this world in which i temporarily live
I am
an enemy of the devil and I am already victorious
I am
born of God and the evil one CANNOT touch me
I am
justified. Completely forgiven. and Made righteous.
I died
with Christ and died to the power of sin’s rule over my life
I am
FREE FOREVER from condemnation
I have
been Established. Anointed. and Sealed by God in Christ, and i have been given
the Holy Spirit as a pledge guaranteeing my inheritance to come.
I have
been blessed with every spiritual blessing
I was
chosen before the foundation of the world to be holy and i am without blame
before Him
I may
approach God with boldness, freedom, and confidence
I am
FREE the debt against me has been canceled
I am
rooted in Christ and am now being built up in Him
I have
strength
I am
Redeemed
I am a
shepherd and a warrior
I am
Gods workmanship, He thought of me, He liked what He thought, He planned me, He
planned every single part of me, He saw my substance being yet unformed, He made
me, God of the universe made me, He put me together, He delights in His work,
He is proud of His work, He loves His work.
I am
not the great I AM but by the grace of God I am what I am.
I am
Blessed

These are all amazing things that God says
about us. I encourage and
challenge each on of you to really seek God out on this. To sit down, study, pray and allow God
to show you what he sees when he looks at you. All these things are true but I would hate to take away from
each person’s unique time to seek God out on this and let him speak
specifically to each on of you. This has been something that is truly encouraging and very eye
opening. These are things that I
will begin declaring over myself each and everyday. My prayer is that each and every one of you would walk in
the assurance of knowing you are in Christ.
