Good morning!! I want use this blog to update all of you on what the Lord has been doing in my life the past month or so..as well as present some prayer requests and praises.
As many of you know I was planning on moving home at the end of August because my job in Elmhurst was going to be over..well the Lord changed those plans. I am now working part time as a nanny for the family that I have been working for this past year. All 3 of my girls are in school, so I am just doing the after school shift. I am so thankful to be able to spend another month or so with my girls as well as stay in Elmhurst with my friends for a while longer. My roommates have been gracious enough to let me stay in the house (rent free:)) even though I was supposed to be moved out already. I am set to move home October 10th, so please be praying for that transition.
As for praises…the Lord has been providing support for the race in amazing ways!
A couple of stories…my dad was up in Wisconsin working on a mural and began talking to another painter about what I will be doing come January. He told my dad for me to send him a support letter, I did, and this man, whom I have never met is now supporting me financially and prayerfully for the race. It is amazing to see the body of Christ come alongside what the Lord is doing!
Two weeks ago I was visiting one of my friends in Wisconsin and visited his home church on Sunday. There was a time of prayer requests and his dad asked if the congregation would pray for me as I embark on the World Race. Not only did they pray for me, but I had the opportunity to speak (with a MICROPHONE) about the mission of the World Race and what my life will look like come January to this body of believers. They are now coming alongside me financially as well as prayerfully. Oh how the Lord provides for his people!
As for those of you that are supporting me financially and prayerfully, THANK YOU. This journey would not be possible if it weren't for you. It is amazing to know that I have so many believers lifting me up to the Lord and always present for words of encouragement. I appreciate your support so much!
Prayer Requests—- Please be praying that the Lord would prepare my heart for the months ahead..there are several transitions that will be occurring- my job ending, leaving my friends and church in Elmhurst, and training camp is coming up in October.
Please be praying for my teammates and I as we are all raising support and it can be discouraging at times. Pray that we would see the Lord providing and that His timing is perfect.
Pray that I would use the time that I have left in Elmhurst wisely, making the most of every opportunity. Pray that I would be sensitive to the Spirit and his prompting to show love to others and just be available.
I think that is all for now..again, thank you so much for committing to pray for me and my teammates. The Lord is definitely working.
