India has come and gone and has left my heart in an uneasy place. As I look back on this month, questions flood my mind.
Did I make the most of every opportunity?
Did I spend more time thinking and complaining about being uncomfortable than seeing God work in this place?
Did I spend too much time praying for myself?
Did I really say I was tired of praying for people?
Was it more about me and my emotions than bringing these heartbroken and lost people to the Lord?
Did I love well?
The answer to all of these questions is still: I don't know.
I am now in a place of looking forward to processing. What good things did happen this month? How did God work? Did I trust the Lord to speak through me when preaching and testifying? Who am I to say that nothing good happened?
Even though questions are waiting to be answered, I have had the opportunity to capture some of our favorite moments in India.
Here is a video featuring:
- Rahelama (Rachel Ruth Rush) holding a baby whom she had the privilege of naming, Josiah.
- A picture of Pastor Philip, Rani and their 3 children with whom we lived and did ministry with every day.
- A bride and groom making their entrance into their wedding reception.
- The famous tuk tuk (our mode of transportation all month) being started by our lovely driver, Babu
- .Abby playing "Carmen Board" with our translator and Indian brothers.
- Members of Oasis making an appearance at a track every morning with our friend, Samrin.
- Sarees, sarees and more sarees.
- Team Oasis leading children in some of our favorite songs, "Hosanna" and "Walk in the Light."
