Hey everyone! I’m not the best at talking about myself, but I’m excited for this journey and for the people who will be able to watch me grow as I travel.

I’ve been on a couple different mission trips including going to Uganda two times. While in Uganda, I learned a lot about myself and how much I really did enjoy doing mission work. I had never felt as close to God as I did spending time in Uganda. I had to fully rely on God to take care of me and He of course did. In America, we have the ability that if we need to go to the doctor, we can and if we need food, we can go to the grocery store or go out to a restaurant. Not everyone in the world has that luxury. I know there are people in our own country that are unable to do these things too. I have been very blesses to never have to wonder where my next week was going to come from or if I got hurt that I could not go to the doctor. God showed me how to love in Uganda and open my heart to a place that I had never thought I would go to.

My degree is in Social Work because I like to help people. Yes it is not always easy helping people, but I know this is what I am meant to do. My father is a pastor and I grew up going to church. I have had my fair shares of falling away from God and wanting to do my own thing and then realizing that the best place I could ever be is in His arms. I am striving to draw closer to Him and be in His will. The World Race is where I feel God is calling me for the next year. A chance to break out of my comfort zone into the unknown and trust Him to catch me when I feel like I’m falling. To show the world that just because our world is broken does not mean that the people have to be. I know to show God’s love in a world that is wicked based. We were meant as Christians to go out into the world and be God’s hands and feet to the least of these. I’m ready to do my part.
