To echo all of my fellow “G-Squadders” it is very hard to put into words all that happened at training camp. I am not sure I have ever felt a “family” come together so quickly! I am having serious withdraws from team and squad mates.

Here is a small recap of all that went down 1 week ago in White, GA:

I slept outside for 7 days, I cuddled for warmth with a girl I met nearly 24 hours before, I took 1 full shower… yep, just 1, I hiked, I cried, I carried a 112 lb. girl for about 3/4 of a mile, I ate cold french fries and hard boiled eggs for breakfast, I jumped in a lake fully clothed… multiple times, I slept along side scorpions, I ate an orange in 30 seconds or less, I got blisters from running 2 miles in Chacos, I danced…a lot, I worshiped, and for the first time in maybe ever, I literally heard and felt the Holy Spirit.

All in all it was a fantastic week. I learned a lot about myself and what the Lord has in store during this 11 month journey. I am learning to let go of schedules and let God be God. I am learning that I cannot fix everything. I am learning that I have to be okay with not being around friends and family for a year. I am learned that I will miss very exciting and devastating circumstances back home, but the Lord is the ultimate comforter. I am learning to be still. I am learning how to listen.

I have no idea what is in store for this next chapter in my life. But this I do know: I have a fantastic family, my friends are the best, my church has prepared me, and my community group is sending me. I have heard God say “Go” so I am going. What is He saying to you?

I am scared, I am inadequate, I am weak. My God is not. Here I go!!
