There is a
time for everything
College,
the world race, working
And a season
for every activity under heaven
Children’s
ministry, youth groups, sports, Spanish school, hospitals,
care points
A time to be
born
Into the
life God has for me
And a time to
die
To “my”
rights, “my” opinion, “my” desires
A time to
plant
Seeds in
the hearts of the people as God directs
And a time to
uproot
The plans
of the enemy
A time kill
Mosquitoes,
spiders, and cockroaches
And a time to
heal
Hurting
backs, headaches, and
broken
hearts
A time to tear
down
Walls I’ve
had around my heart
And a time to
build
Walls of
protection around my new family
A time to weep
On the
shoulders of others, with others, and for others
And a time to
laugh
So hard
that your sides hurt, so much that you can’t breathe
A
time to mourn
And wail
when you or others are hurting
And a time to
dance
With kids
in the orphanage of Cambodia, with Mages and GoGos in Swaziland
church,
and with the squad in costa rica
A time to
scatter stones
As we help
build roads and level ground
And a time to
gather them
To
help build walls or clean up an
area
A time to
embrace
An orphan,
a hurting sister, a new brother in Christ
And a time to
refrain
When they
“just want to be alone”
A time to
search
For
the ministry God has for me, for the place he wants me right now,
for
the person He wants me to talk to
And a time to
give up
All
the comforts of home like internet and a closet
and personal space
A time to keep
Pressing in
to God and what He has for me
And a time to
throw away
Extra sets
of clothes and extra baggage I’ve been carrying around for years
A time to tear
Away from
bad relationships
And a time to
mend
Pants and
purses and backpacks
A time to be
silent
And sit and
listen to God and be loved by Him
And a time to
speak
Praises to
His Name and tell of the wonderful things He’s done
A time to love
Everyone
everywhere at every time
And a time to
hate
Evil and Satan’s strongholds
A time for war
Against
powers and principalities
And a time for
peace
In the
hearts of all the people God has sent us to
…He
has made everything beautiful in its time!
(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 11)
