What are we up to?
this month, we’re out here in the sticks of Cambodia in a super tiny village called Bavel, doing ministry with the Khmer Christian Association orphanage. The orphanage is run by our new friend Vanny who has an amazing heart not only for “his” kids but also for all people in his village and surrounding villages.
so far, we’ve been teaching a lot of English – basics like colors, numbers and animals to the younger kids and more in-depth stuff like pronunciation, past, present and future tenses, differences between singular and plural words, and a whole lot of vocabulary to the older kids, Vanny and his wife.
and…we’ve been doing all of that with no translator (although Vanny does speak a bit of English and has been a great help), one box of crayons, about 30 sheets of computer paper and a TON of creativity.
