I was talking with Caitlin last night about how crazy our life is. “Last week when I was freezing cold…” “A month ago on the white sand beach…” “Five months ago when I was at home…” We’ve been halfway around the world, we move all the time, and this is normal. It’s normal to be in five countries on two different continents within the span of less than a week. It’s normal that a week ago I was on a train from Beijing to Hong Kong, that I’ve spent time in China, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates (if you count the Dubai airport), South Africa, and Swaziland…all within the last week…and that by this time next week I could be doing ministry back in South Africa, still be here in Swaziland reaching out to people, or up in Mozambique working with flood victims. It’s normal to jump from one continent to the next without stopping to think twice about it. It’s normal to travel and travel and travel, to ride planes, trains, and automobiles, to wake up in one time zone and go to bed in a different one. Seriously, this is my life? Wow.
P.S. It was just confirmed this morning that Beloved One will be heading out to Cape Town, South Africa, for the next month or so to do ministry there and have some quality together time as a team since we haven’t been by ourselves for a while. We’re all excited about what God is going to do in and through us there, and can’t wait to come back to Swazi or head to Mozambique after leaving SA.
