Here are some pictures from the last 3 months… gotta get them in while the internet is strong…
Starting with South Africa:
Playing with the kids in Humasdorp, South Africa. We went in with Joy Kids which has been set up to feed the kids in the neighborhood one day a week. Hennie, who set up the organization, goes to 4 other locations during the week to do the same thing. He’s in the back with the microphone.
Doing an activity with the kids in J-Bay at Beats & Books, an after school program where the kids learn more about music, God and reading.
This is one of our last days in Jeffreys Bay. We got up way too early with our ministry hosts to watch the sun rise at Super Tubes, one of the best right hand point breaks in the world… I don’t know much about all that…. because I don’t surf. It’s still beautiful though.
Then Malaysia:
This is the bus that picked us up from the airport when we got to Malaysia. That was when I knew it was going to be a good month. You can even see the driver’s mustache in the mirror if you look closely.
Group shot of the kids from St. Joseph’s Home where we stayed in Penang, Malaysia. There are some very big personalities in this group…
An off day. We had connections and found ourselves on the prettiest and quietest beach on Penang. It had many dogs for petting.
And finally Thailand:
A view from “Buddhist heaven.” I suppose it was a little like a temple, but we climbed to the top of some slightly terrifying stairs to get this view of southern Thailand. They also had a rather creepy rendition of Buddhist hell below us, but it was a bit graphic so…
Beach clean up on our last day in the south of Thailand before heading up to Chiang Mai. I’m afraid the beach is ruined for me forever… perfect temperature, perfect swells, perfect sand AND I touched a HUGE jellyfish on accident. This beach also came with dogs for petting.
NO durian on the bus. They’re serious about this one. The bus ride up to Chiang Mai and Lynden.
Just a cat at the restaurant and of course Naomi found it. Just the beginning of cats I’ve met in restaurants.
Kanta Elephant Sanctuary Chiang Mai, Thailand. Isn’t she cute!!? I would do this so many more times if I could.
I’m not sure why everyone else looks so calm.
I hope you enjoyed this. I definitely did. Until next time!!
