One thing I have learned on the race is the importance of taking the next step. To push through the hard things and to never give up. To trust that God knows exactly what He is doing and that He will take me farther than I ever thought or could dream of. Ralf, you have taught me so much about love, strength, courage, faith, commitment, sacrifice and so much more. You have blessed my life in so many ways. Thank you for loving my sister and my nephews unconditionally, well… really all of us unconditionally. Thank you for putting up with all of us crazy Bannister girls. Believe me, I know it’s overwhelming. You are with me on every step of my journey. I am with you every step of yours. It has been an incredible journey and thank you for telling me to continue what God has called me to do. Every step we do together. You are loved, adored and cherished.

Every step is for you.
Stepping toward healing and grasping for hope.
Pain and labored breathing never goes wasted.
Pushing one step closer.
Shatter unbelief and each step is for salvation.
Four little legs run with you every step, idolizing a father who loves them.
Two legs are weak and in tremendous grief of the unknown.
Thousands of miles away are being fought upon unfamiliar mountains.
Unstable steps cause me to fall but I get up.
There is no luxury of giving up.
Each step keeps me away from you.
And closer all at the same time.
These steps are not about me or for me.
My steps are influenced by an incredible man, father, husband, brother, son and friend.
Steps that will be fought for in heavenly places.
Each step we step in sync I pray it brings you into Your Father’s arms.
May your feet be light as you run towards Him.
I will never stop stepping.
Each step is for you, your wife, your sons and family.
And it’s a kept promise.
Stepping with you each moment, never ceasing, lovingly one at a time.
