My dear friends and family, this blog is a special call. Just a day before we leave to head to our 3rd country together, the Lord has asked me to reach out on behalf of my beautiful squad. On February 30th we had our 3rd deadline to have the $13,000 each raised and our 4th and final deadline of $17,700 to be fully funded is quickly approaching. I truly believe that I speak for all of F squad when I say that if one of us is not fully funded, none of us are fully funded. If there is anything I have learned over the last two months, it’s that God is entirely faithful. I believe that He has called each one of my squamates out onto the field. He is equipping us to spread His love to all we meet and advance His Kingdom.
I’m reminded that the Lord is always here and waiting for us. It’s a matter if we will come to the table and sit down and talk to Him. There is an incredible book by Mark Batterson, called the Circle Maker. I have been loving reading this book. We are called to pray big, unimaginably bold, unfathomable prayers. We are meant to circle our prayers in unwavering faith, not stopping, but continually circling these prayers as God answers them. I am calling all my circle makers (my prayer warriors) out there, I ask you to continuously circle my 20 squamates who still need to raise support and circle our entire squad in prayer. I am humbly asking for you to donate as well. Giving is a tremendous blessing and God loves to bless those who give without doubt and limits.

Alissa is our amazing squad mentor. We have been absolutely blessed to have her with us for our entire 2nd month and she will be incredibly missed. She is strong, kind, loving, and a wonderful example of God’s grace as a leader. She is teaching all of us how to grow in our communities, intimacy with the Lord and in missions. I am honored to call her my friend.

This girl Briana (Bri), is fearless. Well at least she appears that way to most of us. She is strong, beautiful, talented, compassionate and so much more. Bri blesses our whole squad tremendously as our Safety Coordinator. Just these last couple of weeks she has spent numerous hours at various clinics and hospitals making sure our teammates are well taking care of. She brings light and humor when she walks into a room.

This girl is on fire for the Lord and her laugh is infectious. She is an alumni squad leader and she is incredible with encouraging us and calling us higher. She brings so much fun and joy to the squad. She is passionate about pushing us to speak life over one another and ourselves. She is resilient, beautiful and bold. I have been so blessed to get to know her better this last month.

This girl is a giver by nature. Since the day I met her at training camp she continuously blesses our entire squad by providing sweet treats, gum and other generous acts of service. She selflessly cares for her team in her role as treasure. She is always willing to help in anyway she can. I am so grateful for her and her willingness to push through obstacles (gotta love malaria).

Mya is an absolute firecracker! In the best way possible. She has a contagious child-like spirit and is a nurturer. She is always smiling and brining joy to all those who are around her. She is a fantastic writer and is not afraid to fight for others. I love her energy and can’t wait to see how God continues to use her.

This girl has grown so much since training camp, constantly pushing herself out of her comfort zone, not willing to give up, challenging and calling herself higher. I see her desire to grow in her walk with the Lord and I am so excited to see where God calls her over the next several months. I know it will be amazing.

Well, what can I say about this one… she’s absolutely incredible (Irish accent emphasized here), I have had the pleasure of having her as my team leader. I have seen her grow from a Styrofoam peanut to a grapefruit. She brings so much grace and patience to this role. She calls Team Haven higher daily and is willing to have the hard conversations. She is radiating with boldness and I am so blessed to share this journey with her.

I love this girl so much! She’s my “Tay Tay.” Taylor brings so much joy, strength, fun and perseverance. She leads her team so well and loves others to the fullest. Here laugh is infectious and she is not afraid to put herself out there. She is adored by this squad. Thanks to her, we all learned how to dance to “Church Clap.”

Oh, my Emily Cate, aka Emma Lou, ET Cate. This girl is absolutely amazing. She fights for others, she always goes out of her way to love. She has an incredible ability to seek people out and befriend them instantly. She is killing it as our Unsung Hero’s coordinator. This girl literally walked a 2.2 mile hike again just to make sure I would be on the squad. Extremely selfless and humble, stunning inside and out.

Adriana is an extremely talented. She has the ability to capture perfect moments through a lens. She is strong, compassionate, bold and so much more. I love how she motivates others into action. She loves people so well and I can not wait to see how the Lord uses her over these next few months.

What can I say about Christa! She brings so much joy to my life. She is always willing to sacrifice her time to help others and she loves so well. Her smile and laugh are contagious. I had the pleasure of rooming with her at launch and this girl brought lightheartedness and comedy to all of us. We bellyached a lot.

Lindsay is a sweet and gentle soul. She brings light and joy to all she encounters. She has a servants heart and continues to call herself higher. She encourages her team and motivates others into action. I can’t wait to see how God uses her over these next several months.

This girl blows me away. Just this month she fundraised for a local business woman named, Mercy. Mercy dreamed of adding some tables and chairs so people could relax while they ate their food from her stand. Chelsy raised enough and beyond to make Mercy’s dream a reality. This girl is extremely talented, loving, selfless and creative. I have so much to learn from her.

“Make it Raina” this girl is amazing. Her humor is so quick witted and hilarious. She is honest, compassionate, fun and so much more. I see her desire to grow with intimacy with the Lord and others. She serves her team so well as a treasurer and is more than willing to help anyone in need.

Viktoriya is bold. God is using her in amazing ways to bless her team as a leader. During training camp she woke up early in the morning with me to help me get ready for my 2nd hike. She encouraged me and then bandaged up my legs after I fell. She is selfless and gifted. I am so grateful for her.

Well you can’t have “Ramanda” without Amanda. This girl continues to surprise me. She is a preacher by nature and allows the Holy Spirit to speak through her. She is a prayer warrior and is always calling herself higher. I am so proud of her and her willingness to dig deep with God so He may bring more healing and freedom for her. I can’t wait to see what else He has instore for her.

Wow, what can I say about Brier, this guy is an incredible man of God. He is passionate, kind, adventurous, talented, caring and so much more. I have seen him grow tremendously over these last few months since training camp. He stops to really see people and brings people together. I love that we have a “secret handshake.” I am so blessed to share this journey with him and I know God is going to use him mightily.

I don’t know why but every time I see this girl I have to sing her name out to her (well really it’s from Dirty Dancing)… Sllllyyyyvvviaaaaaaaaa. We are so lucky to have her as one of our alumni squad leaders. She is a tremendous blessing to my life. She has come along side me in multiple ways, encouraging me, helping me heal, stretching me and so much more. She is such a great encourager and is so selfless of her time. God is using her in mighty ways.

I just love this girl!!! Heather is brave, courageous, compassionate and so much more. She has an incredible voice and her beautiful presence is so appreciated. She radiates joy as she worships the Father. She encourages me and calls me out of my comfort zone. She speaks life to all she meets. God is so pleased with her.

Aka, my little brother. I love this kid so incredibly much. He is constantly surprising me with how generous, compassionate and loving he is. He has grown tremendously since training camp. I am blown away by his writing. He has one of the best laughs I’ve ever heard. I couldn’t imagine my life without him now that I’ve met him.
