About Me
For as long as I can remember, I have felt called to love deeply and help those in need. A desire to do something big, make a difference and be bold in faith. Although I didn’t know what that would look like, I hoped it would be significant! For many years, I allowed fear and doubt to hold me back. But, God!!! He doesn’t want me to be led by fear, shame or low self-worth! He wants me to see myself as He sees me – as His beloved daughter, completely whole, accepted and adored. In 2017, I felt God tugging on my heart, knowing He had something BIG He wanted to share with me. God revealed it was time I took authority over my life. Time to be bold, to take action, to take care of myself and take a huge leap of faith. I stepped out of my comfort zone and went further than I ever thought possible. Jesus called me out into the nations to share His love and truly serve as He did – as light for His Kingdom.
I was extremely blessed for the opportunity to live this out through a mission trip called The World Race, with an organization; Adventures In Missions. The World Race is an 11-month mission trip to 11 different countries and I was accepted for a route which left January 2018. The route went to Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, India, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. I was involved in all kinds of ministry in these countries such as working with widows and orphans, teaching English in schools, planting churches, preaching, manual labor projects, ministering to those trapped in prostitution due to human trafficking, and many other areas; all while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our loving Savior.
God is so good, after a year of serving around the world, I am being led to return to one of the countries I served in – Cambodia! God opened the door for an opportunity to return to Cambodia as a long-term missionary. I accepted a position to become the Director at Ace American Academy, the primary school I taught at on month three of the race. So this new year begins with a new adventure – heading to Cambodia, a new ministry – Leap Forty-One Ten, and a new partnership with Modern Day. A new ministry launched January 2019 by Rebecca Bannister. Our mission is to encourage, strengthen and come along-side individuals as they discover who they are in Christ. Leading them to walk in ownership. Equipping them to discover their purpose. Teaching them to abide in their Heavenly Father and pursue life after His heart for them. Lead. Equip. Abide. Pursue. Taking a new leap. After completing an 11 month, 11 country mission trip called the World Race in 2018, I am headed back to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Lord has called me into long-term missions where I will be serving as Director at Ace American Academy, a Christian primary school where I taught English during month three of the World Race.
