Today is the day. It's the day that seemed a million years away 11 months ago. And it's here.

It's time to come home.

I am so excited.

Some people come on the race to take a year off. To figure things out. Maybe even sometimes to run away. I'm not sure that I really fit in any of those categories. I came on the race because I wanted to know and experience God's love in new ways; and, God opened doors for me to come away with Him here, and I'm so glad that I followed. But changing countries on a monthly basis makes it hard to stop, breathe, and appreciate how far He's brought me. Just like using a camera, I don't expect my growth to come into focus until I am able to stop moving. My fiance, my family, my friends, and even my job are waiting for me. And as I return home, I think I'll continually develop an awareness of just how much my perspective has changed.

I'll probably post a blog or two about life after the race. For now, I'll like to say thank you, once again, to all of you who have faithfully remembered to pray for me, followed my blogs, encouraged me, and, if able, offered financial support. You have made a huge difference in my life this year, and I am so thankful for all you've done.

Just one more thing: During China, our second month, one of my teammates shared a bunch of music with me. As soon as I heard the following song, I knew what I'd be posting on this, the final day of the race…

To my fiance, Devin… I love you and we made it!!!

I couldn't have written better lyrics if I tried.
