Hey all. Please be praying for the EMOD, our ministry contact in Cambodia. Yesterday, Sunday March 8, their city church burned down at 4pm about an hour before service. They lost everything that was in the building, between $30,000-$50,000 worth of damage. This is the building where we taught and worshiped. Their offices were located here. The pictures are devastating and the community wept as they sorted through the ashes. Not only will EMOD need to replace their property, but they also will need to pay the buildings owner. It is believed that the fire was caused by poor electrical wiring.
In Pastor SoKhan’s words:
This place used to be the place to help the poor children to be educated and to help the vulnerable women for learning skill and to help people to come back to God and the office where we work to help people. Yesterday it was fired. Please pray for us, we are really in need help financially to pay back to the owner, but my wife and I don’t have money to pay back. Thank you very much for your prayer. We are full of pain. We cannot do anything beside from trusting God to provide for our need.
We have also learned that Pastor Sokhan and his wife Esther were in a car accident a few days ago. Though they are fine their car was severely damaged.
These two financial blows come after EMOD lost several supporters. Some of the children at the children’s home have lost their supporters and Pastor recently lost one of his main supporters. Six children are in need of supporters: Chanril, Chamreum, Jonah and Joel (their parents live and work at the children’s home), and Sunny and Kaknika (their parents live at and manage Wings Home).
This ministry is under strong attack in many areas. Please be in prayer.
If you would like to financially support EMOD email me or comment so I can get you in information.
