There are days…

There are days when I just want to be in Africa or in China….  There are days when I just want to be a long term missionary – with a family and a house.

There are days where I want to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.  Because Freely you have received; So freely give. (Matthew 10:8)
… And yes through God all things are possible even healing the sick.  God is at work today just as He was
hundreds of years ago, but in America we only choose to reason Him away.

There are days when I have my coffee in one hand, driving my own car, jamming out to music, heading to my job, and I wonder am I getting too comfortable with this American life?

There are days when I have to remember, this is just another culture and country.  And I have to accept it the way it is and learn to adapt to its ways, but not necessary conform to it.

There are days where I want to learn to do right, seek justice, defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless, plead the case to the widow. (Isaiah 1:17) Yet I can’t even defend the new student…

There are days when the busy American lifestyle wears me down and I don’t even want to spend time with my daddy because I am so exhausted…

There are days… We all have them.  The days where we wonder is this where God has called us to be.
And for now I know this is where God has called me to be.  He has called me to be a teacher.  He has called me to give it 110% and learn from everyone around me.  He has called me to a time of surrender.

Athough I may have days (like today) where I just want to be in Africa.  I have to be patient and wait on the Lord.  And until then I can pray.  Pray for my fellow World Racers as they journey out again.  Michael is in Nepal, Grace is heading to Uganda, Leah and Megan are going to the Philippines, and Jesse is going to Spain.  I can pray for them and when my time comes I will go out and tell the nations about my Savior.

PS If you have supported me and followed me along me journey, I would love to share my thanks with you in person.  I am always good for coffee dates or chickfila lunches.  Just email me at [email protected]   and we will set up a time.  I have all sorts of pictures to show you and would love to catch up on life.
