Hey I just wanted to give everyone a quick up-date on how my fundraising is going. This morning I had a yard sale at my house. It is great to go through my room/ house and get rid of stuff. I simply have too much, and I would rather let someone use it than collect everything. I still have more that I need to go through and get rid of but today was great. With the yard sale I made a little under $250 which is awesome (I think almost everything was priced a quarter too. Lol.)! Not only was I able to get rid of my stuff, but I also had the opportunity to share about the World Race with several different people. 🙂
Now I have a grand total of $5660! My goal is to have $8000 raised by August 13, so as of today I am still in need of $2340. God is truly my provider in all of this, so I trust Him with everything. I am amazed by God’s love. And I can’t wait for January, as I will be going out into the world and sharing His love and grace with the world. Will you help me reach my goal?
Prayer Request: Could you be praying for me on Tuesday July 19. I am meeting with my church staff on that day for lunch. I am proposing a spaghetti dinner and art sale. And I need my church’s support in order to do that.
The World Race is an interesting mission opportunity and something that is unlike any mission trip that I have participated in before. One thing that makes it unique (and amazing) is that it’s not like a church group or a school trip, where everyone is from the one place, all working together to raise the support. Instead, we are individuals from all over the USA and Canada who are coming together with a sole purpose of going into the world and sharing the good news of Christ Jesus. As an individual, it can be challenging to raise that fifteen grand. But it’s through those individual challenges that my faith in God grows and is refined. This trip is going to be life changing in every aspect.
