My challenge to you today is to live a life worth writing about. What are you passionate about and what has God called you to do? Listen to God’s voice and go for it.
Now the truth is… I am not a writer. Growing up in public schools, I absolutely loved math and numbers, and hated English and writing. But here I am learning to write and share my story with you. I want to live a life worth writing about each and every day. Many of you know that I went away to training camp for 10 days. Now that is an adventure, a journey worth sharing, but as I sit down and write this blog I find it hard to put training camp into words. What happened there? … How did the Holy Spirit move inside me? … What did I actually experience?
I can tell you about all the tangible of training camp, but here’s the thing… God worked in my heart and I can’t honestly describe what happened at training camp. I was beautifully broken over training camp and can’t even begin to imagine the next year. I am going to be gone for 11 months sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and bringing God all the glory. And I can’t wait to see what God has in store.
Instead of writing about the tangibles of training camp, let me share some photos (taken by a variety of my amazing squadmates). Here is some of our awesome housing, amazing food, the second generation C-SQUAD…. Love all of them!, and Team Agape!

I am anointed! I am called! I am redeemed!
A hard part of training camp was actually coming home. And having to go straight back into student teaching on Monday. With public schools, I can’t share with my high school students what happened at training camp, I can’t share what God is doing in my life, I can’t share my upcoming mission trip going to 11 different countries over 11 months because it’s a mission trip. And that is hard. It’s hard to be so on-fire for what God is doing and to come back to a secular public school environment. I have exactly three more weeks of student teaching and November 18 is my last day. Even in this secular environment, my goal is to make an impact in my students’ lives even if I cannot share the good news of Jesus Christ. I can build a sense of community in my classroom; I can instill my values in my classroom; and I can set high expectations for all my students. I can live a life worth writing about….
If you want to hear more about my training camp experience and what actually happened at training camp I would absolutely love to share with you personally. Just email me. 🙂 Thanks for reading my blog.
