Life in India Means…

Life in Mumbai, India means living at the YMCA
                                         having beds to sleep on
having both a squatty and a toilet
(depending on the bathroom you use)
                                                       and real cold water showers.

Life in India in August means monsoon season
having all the bags get soaked on the first day
(cause they are on top of the car)
rain and ridiculous heat every day
                                                        downpours every hour
                                                             never having dry clothes.

Life in India means getting over my fear and disgust of curry
having rice and curry every lunch and dinner
having an omelet and bread for every breakfast
having all meals at the YMCA with the locals
eating everything with your right hand
(cause your left hand is unclean)
(also there is no silverware at all)

Life in India means riding four different modes of transportation in one day
                  – a car, a bus, a train, and a rickshaw
people having the right away on the roads
(cars will slam on brakes and blow horns for the people)
men and women riding in different cars on the trains
having to push and shove your way on the train
(cause there are so many people and the train isn't going to wait)

Life in India means worship seasons and prayer every day.
growing in my faith and understanding
relying on God for my rest, strength, and renewal

I have only been here for two days and this is what I have already experienced.  We have our first burn tomorrow from 9am till 9pm.  (For more information about the ministry Burn 27/7 checkout this website –  http://burn24-7.com/about) There are around 500 people expected to be there and this is one of the smaller burns.   We honestly don't know what to expect cause we are all new to burns.  But be praying for God's presence and for lives to be transformed; for us to listen to God's voice and go where He leads us.  I might even get to do some prophetic painting. (I have No idea what that looks like but basically if God gives me any words or pictures – painting them out) And learning to be in tune with God.

Well thanks for the prayers over me, and my team, and India.  I am going to do my best to keep y'all updated this month as you are praying.
