BURN 24/7
Thursday was our first BURN India. Actually it was a worship seminar with a concert afterwards. It started at 9am and went till about 10pm. (Although we didn't get home till 1am.). Throughout the morning there were teachings by a pastor who is on fire for the Lord and who knows what it means to believe. All the teachings were done in both English and Hindi. And there were some smaller bands that played in between the teaching sections. We then had a dinner break from 5 to 6 – which was really nice to stretch our legs and get some coffee. Then the concert was from 6 to 10. And that was my favorite part. There were four bands that played and then the world race team was the last to go. Throughout the day/night we had around 500 people to come which was amazing.
It was incredible and I am honestly not sure how to put this experience into words. Besides the fact that God was there. He was there and present and you could feel His glory that night. Before even starting the concert, we prayed for these people coming, this night, and for God to show up. It was powerful. The power of prayer.
So what was my role in this concert… (since I don't sing)
I got to paint.
I got to paint my heart.
I got to paint what God was telling me
I got to paint what God was showing me.
I was a prophetic painter.
At first I was really nervous and hesitant. God never gives me cool visions or pictures. He is usually a quiet God. But tonight was different. And it was amazing. Releasing my fear… And truly allowing God to work.
Not worrying about what I looked like…
Not worrying about how I should worship…
Not worrying about what other people thought…
It was just me and God.
It was the first time that I have felt so intimately close with God.
It was the first time that I was able to truly listen to what God had to say.
It was the first time that I felt the heavens open up and rain down on us.
What an incredible experience. And this is only the beginning…
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:23-24
