11 Facts About Me… where do I start…

1. I am 21 years old and my birthday is in November.

2. I was born and raised in Lexington, SC (right outside of Columbia).

3. I have an amazing family who loves me and supports me. My mom is an ESOL teacher at a primary school and my daddy is a computer technician. I have a sister, Amanda, who is one year older than me who is currently studying at Anderson University.
          -I am so thankful/grateful that my family is supportive of me going on this trip around the world.

4. I love adventure. Hint why I going on this crazy Amazing trip around the world to follow after God’s heart and to go where He leads me.

5. I am a current student at Anderson University in South Carolina, and I am graduating in December (which is a semester early… woot woot)

6. My major is Art Education! Love it!
           -My clinical work (student teaching) is at TL Hanna High School… so I am basically a high school art teacher.  Love it!

7. I have a love/passion for art, especially Ceramics and Painting!  I spend hours on end in the studio. God has given me this gift and I am excited to see how He uses my gifts to further His kingdom. (Painting: I painted this in high school like 4 years ago but I love it.)

8. I have a passion for missions and bring God all the glory, praise, and honor through my life.
           -I believe that Missions is not the ultimate goal of the Church.  Worship is. When the age is over, missions will be no more.  It’s a temporary necessity.  But worships abides forever

9. My first international mission trip was in 2005, when I was 15 and I went Honduras with my mom and sister.  We stayed/worked at New Life Children Home in Jalaca, Honduras.  My family then returned there in 2007 and my dad was able to come this time.

10. I went to Kenya this past summer with North Greenville University and stayed in Nairobi, Kenya.  We helped at Baptist Children Centre.  I loved having chai tea everyday and just talking with the ladies and meeting with the missionaries.  Love Kenya and Love Africa!
 

11. My favorite season is the Summer! I love the sun shine and the warm weather.
