I think often about the blogs I will be writing about when we are on the field. Social injustice, poverty, human trafficking, disease, and death…those are just a few…so of course that got me thinking even more … too many times it seems like we focus only on the negative. It’s all over the news, the papers and even conversations with friends. There is always something bad to be written or talked about. Everything from violence in the middle east to the weather being too hot or too cold. We have become conditioned to focus mainly on what is wrong instead of praising what is good.

So I’ve decided that this blog will be about the amazing things I have, that too often I do not thank God enough for…

I have 70 new brothers and sisters that I get to travel the world with for a year

There are over 7 billion people on this earth and God chose me to be one of them

I get to tell my friends every single day that I love them

I have my choice of millions of stars to lay under at night

I get to live because my Savior died

I fall down seven times but God pulls me up eight

I love the ‘unlovable’ because Jesus taught me how

I get to sit in my Grandma’s old chair, with the sun shining and windows open as I write this

I am privileged to live in His world, not my own.

I’m beyond blessed. I could not ask for more
