This past week I was reminded of two important facts in my life. While these truths may seem foundational and not something that is easily forgotten, they are something I forget quiet often.
#1 – His Grace is sufficient.
I am one of those people who likes to do things on my own, my way and at the choosing of my time. Well, it doesn’t quiet work that way, as I am reminded over and over. You are probably all wondering, “how were you reminded?” Well it wasn’t a gentle tap on the shoulder that is for sure, it was more of the knock on the head and a “Listen here, child!” (those seem to be the only way He gets my attention recently…lol)
On Tuesdays I attend a ladies small group and we are currently working our way through “Lies Woman Believe” by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. We were at the end of the discussion part and the last point Nancy made was to go around and affirm each other that His grace is sufficient. As I was reading the last point, I was hit with the realization that I had been doing it on my own and I had not been relying on Him. To someone who was mentally and emotionally drained from a rough couple of days at work, this truth was like water in a desert. I soaked in the words, “His. Grace. Is. Sufficient.”
#2 – I am blessed.
I am so incredibly blessed. As I have been walking this journey of joining the World Race and asking for people to partner with me, I have been amazed and even astounded by people’s generosity and how they have come along with me to support me as I travel this road to serve others. People have blessed me so wonderfully with their generosity, their words of encouragement and their support. I am reminded on a daily basis that I am blessed whether it be through the support and love of my parents and extended family, my caring friends or the steady job where I have wonderful co-workers. You have all blessed me more than I can ever convey to you.
So, a HUGE Thank You to everyone who has partnered with me, encouraged me or just listened to me talk about the World Race. You have encouraged and blessed me more than you know!
