• Be content with where God has placed you and what He has given you.
  • Everything above nutritious foods, clothing, and shelter is a luxury.
  • Family is important. Be thankful for them because once they are gone, you will really miss them.
  • Make the most of every minute with community because one is the loneliest number.
  • Live each day fully, this means thinking positive every minute about yourself and about the people around you and continue to do good every opportunity you have.
  • The Best Friend I truly have is Jesus. When the World Race is finished, when school is done, when friends are gone, when family dynamics change, He will be the only One who can really say He’s been through it all with me.
  • Squatty potties…I hope Home Depot carries them when I get back home.
  • The simple things: Tanzanian orphans laughing and having fun, a stroll through a Turkish market with a friend, riding a tuk-tuk in Cambodia to do home visits, having an English conversation with a Thai….I’m really going to miss the simple things about the World Race life.
  • Life back home goes on even when you plan to be gone a year.
  • With the world being a mission field, Prayer is a “must have” for coming back more than a conqueror. Don’t leave the house without it.
  • The secret to contentment is the freedom to do all things in Jesus’ name.
  • Be faithful with the little you have been given, even if the food budget is $3.75 per day.
  • Trust God when He said not to bring an extra tunic, money bag, or belt. Seriously, He provided all our needs and with much abundance!
  • There’s a much bigger world outside the U.S. There’s a much bigger Life outside the world.
